a) “The History of Rock and Roll in Ten Songs” – is a book by author and music journalist Greil Marcus.  He explores 10 songs that have been interpreted (covered) multiple times by artists from different generations.  What 10 songs would you select to represent the History of Rock and Roll?  Why did you choose those 10 songs? Be sure to include plenty of musical observation/analysis from you as well as from your selected source quotations.
